Tree-cutting Engagement Days 2019

Over 100 colleagues in our Tree-Cutting teams across Scotland recently attended a two-day engagement session at Bonskeid, near Pitlochry.

The site was set up with 12 different specialist areas, which included climbing, safety and off-road driving and over the two-days everyone had the chance to brush up on their existing skills as well as learn some new techniques in a safe, controlled environment.

Mark Macdonald, Head of Business Performance, is pleased with the way the two-day event unfolded:

“This engagement session has been a great way for our tree-cutting community to get together to not only brush up on their existing skills and learn about the new technology we have on offer, it is also really important that they had the chance to meet up with team-mates they’ve possibly not seen for a while.

“Safety is at the heart of everything we do and so as we head into winter, this session was the ideal time for everyone to focus their attentions on the changing seasons and the safety challenges that accompany this time of year, not just with tree-cutting itself but also the underfoot conditions and driving in rural locations.”
